The article below was posted in Parents Magazine last year, but had some information I was not aware of in terms of how the radio waves from wireless devices (even landline cordless phones) are more dangerous to kids.  For example, because a child’s skull is thinner than an adults, the radio waves coming out of the phones extend further into your kid’s brains.  There are also some good tips on how to avoid exposure and where to put things in your house that could be dangers.

Some other tips include, where to put your wireless router, using a pillow between you laptop and your lap, turning your phone to airplane mode when letting your kids play with it so that it is not searching and running off WiFi, and using ear plugs to use your phone instead of holding it to your ear.
