If you haven’t seen the commercials before, Kidz Bop is a series of albums that are songs remade and sang by kids “for kids”. While they always change most lyrics that maybe inappropriate, some of song choices and lyrics may turn some parents off. I am in no way saying that kids shouldn’t listen to these albums, but they are some questionable song choices on the albums that parents may want to educate themselves on the original versions before sharing them with their kids.
Some examples are below:
Nicki Minaj – “Anaconda”: The lyrics are changed, but the original version is probably one of the last songs you want your kids to listen to. If you don’t know what this song is about, I suggest you look it up before your kids listen to it.
Uncle Kracker – “Follow Me”: The original version of this song is about an affair. The song is still virtually unchanged on the Kidz Bop album.
These are just a couple examples, but a quick google search for Kidz Bop Inappropriate will provide you quite the list of songs that you may want to avoid on these albums.
