See Something, Say Something Apps

As a result of the latest school shooting in Florida, the Palm Beach County Sheriff department will be releasing a mobile app that kids can use for free which is expected to provide a channel to authorities regarding a host of perceived concerns.

“The key here is information flow and prevention,” said Sheriff Ric Bradshaw. “On that app, they will be able to report mental health problems, bullying problems, social media problems, suspicious activity to the school police or their parents or the school staff and that information will be channeled to the proper people to do something about it.”

Do you have kids in public school? Would this be an app you would encourage your kids to download and use?

CarefulParents.com encourages parents to reach out their school corporations and civil authorities and ask them if  there is a mobile app available in their area.
